Terms
The working terms for projects and care plans. Plain English, no traps.
The agreement
Every project starts with a written proposal stating what will be delivered, what it costs, and when it lands. The proposal you accept is the agreement. Prices are whole numbers and do not change after acceptance unless you change the scope, in which case the new price is agreed in writing before any extra work starts.
Payment
Project work is invoiced half on acceptance and half on launch, unless the proposal says otherwise. Care plans are billed monthly in advance.
Revisions
Each project includes the revision rounds stated in your proposal. A round means one consolidated set of changes. Further rounds are quoted as a whole number before they begin.
Your content
You confirm you have the right to use the text, images and brand material you supply. You keep ownership of it. On final payment you own your finished website. CMX keeps the right to show the work in its portfolio and to record its design fingerprint in the studio register.
Care plans
Care covers hosting, security, backups, updates and the small monthly content changes agreed in your plan. Either side can end Care with one month's written notice. If Care ends, I hand over everything needed to move the site, tidily.
The honest clause
If something goes wrong, tell me and it will be fixed. If I am ever the wrong fit for what you need, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
